Becoming more and more popular is the Community Garden. I've seen them in the centre of cities and like this one in the middle of the suburbs. It's when a few like minded people take a piece of waste land and change it into a productive garden. I was disappointed that I couldn't persuade them to sell me their black gold, i.e. their compost, but then seeing the great produce they were producing I could see it was being put to very good use.
