It was a beautiful Autumn day. Everyone seemed to be out enjoying the early morning. Joggers, dog walkers, mums, dads and kids, it seemed the mild, sunny weather had pulled everyone out of their homes and into the fresh

air.
As usual at this time of the year, there was a plethora of events to choose from. The annual, Blues & Roots concert in Fremantle with Crowded House headlining was very tempting, but with lots to do around my place, I decided on something less time consuming.
Sunday afternoon found me pursuing my growing interest in everything environmental and I headed to the Sustainability Festival he

ld at UWA, (University of Western Australia). The first thing to catch my eye was...........this cute little folding, electric bicycle. Top speed around 25km/h with a battery range of about 40kms. It would certainly get me back to work and back.
There were a large number of

companies endeavouring to sell

photovoltaic cells, as well as worm farms, insulation types, polystyrene building blocks, rain water tanks, grey water systems and much more.

My afternoon finished with a coffee overlooking Matilda Bay, a long time favourite of generations of Perth residents.
