About Me

My photo
Perth/Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia
An independent, working woman, I live in a riverside suburb close to both Fremantle and Perth. Having lived in Perth for over thirty years it's obvious that I love the place, though there are still things that irritate and make me squirm with embarrassment. Occasionally they will make an appearance; but generally speaking this is a pretty good place to live.

Parade through Fremantle

"So what's all the fuss about?"
"Oh ...I don't know some festival or something."

The past week has seen Fremantle a hive of activity. The Fremantle Festival was host to a myriad of different events, music of many persuasions to many free foodie delights. Yesterday, as the festival drew to an end a number of community organisations were asked to parade through the streets of the city.

For weeks these various had been putting together floats, costumes and other paraphernalia in order to take part. I and some of my colleagues accompanied a group of winged, face painted youngsters as they paraded through the streets.

There were an amazing amount
people there to watch the parade.
