I took this photo because I really like the detail in the photograph,
but when I read the description it talked about political manipulation
and suppression. I saw a determined young woman taking part in a race.
Hm....I missed something somewhere. Still I enjoyed the short diversion.
About Me
- Lynda Turk
- Perth/Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia
- An independent, working woman, I live in a riverside suburb close to both Fremantle and Perth. Having lived in Perth for over thirty years it's obvious that I love the place, though there are still things that irritate and make me squirm with embarrassment. Occasionally they will make an appearance; but generally speaking this is a pretty good place to live.

PICA
Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts holds interesting exhibitions which, for an art philistine such as myself, often leave me with more questions once I've viewed it than answers. Still I enjoy trying to see the point of the art or the message behind it. Photographs are usually forbidden in most Art Galleries (Mona in Hobart being a brilliant exception), so it was with trepedation I snuck my camera out.
