Over the past decade the annual rainfall in Perth has been decreasing at an alarming rate. Our dam levels look reasonable, but that is only because the water from our desalination plants are pumped into the reservoirs. Perth's natural water supplies are dwindling and the city is becoming more and more reliant on ground water and the desal..plants. Scientists at the The Water Corporation are currently running water recycling experiements as the seriousness of the situation becomes more and more evident.
About Me
- Lynda Turk
- Perth/Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia
- An independent, working woman, I live in a riverside suburb close to both Fremantle and Perth. Having lived in Perth for over thirty years it's obvious that I love the place, though there are still things that irritate and make me squirm with embarrassment. Occasionally they will make an appearance; but generally speaking this is a pretty good place to live.
