Why? ...... I wondered

Walking through the centre of the city I came across a group of young people eating lunch while sitting on a wall on the edge of a very small, neatly pretty park.

 I had already passed something that struck me as quite unusual......


Not too often are people so irresponsible that they leave a whole lot of litter scattered through garden beds; then I noticed a sign which I thought might be linked.  A park marked as private? obviously only for the exclusive use of employees of the multi storey building tucked behind it.

Perhaps that's why when I saw a young woman throwing something into the park she caught my eye.
A moment later she bent down, picked up an empty cool drink can and threw it with force into the centre of the park.

A protest...........................or simply littering??
