Christmas is over and Perth has sizzled in a heatwave but with more luck than planning we have spent the last four days some 300kms away in Augusta.
Being the most south westerly point of Australia and where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet the Leeuwin coastline is naturally several degrees cooler than the Perth region.

The beautiful Blackwood River is an added attaction and is a backdrop for numerous water related activites, including boating, fishing, swimming and similar water sports.

At the top of the Leeuwin Lighthouse....a slight breeze on a very calm day. |
