Described as the most successful annual community festival, with over 10 000 visitors last year, the George St., event lived up to its press. At times the milling crowd made it quite difficult to negotiate a path through the assortment of food and craft stalls that lined both sides of the famous little street in East Fremantle. Even so it was well worth the effort.
My friend and I spent a good th
ree hours examining and purchasing a variety of goods, not the least a beautiful crystal ball that would have done any gypsy fortune teller proud. My friend left happy, secure in the knowledge that she had purchased the bargain of the day.
