Growers Markets have been springing up all over the Perth Metro area.
The current price of fruit and veg combined with the growing concern over the increasing use of pesticides and other chemicals on crops has seen this resurgence. These markets thrive on their, "Green" credentials. No pesticides or artificial fertilisers to grow these crops, well none that are admitted to. I have to say the produce looked really fresh and the prices were certainly
competitive. Garlic, ginger, fresh baked biscuits and preserves as well as free range eggs were also on offer.
This market is held at one of the local primary schools so it's also a pretty good money spinner for the school's P & C.
