Snow and ice a veritable winterwonderland. It looks beautiful but is still, according to news reports, causing headaches all over the place. Still some things never change......
Driving is particularly dangerous as black ice

I watch with some envy the neighbours' children sleighing 
down the snow covered road. Like most children they seem quite oblivious to the cold and enjoy the thrill that such activities cause.

Fresh snow was falling this evening, though warmer weather is forecast for the near future, which may mean that England will not record a white Christmas after all.
